Google Desktop Search out of Beta

Well I've switched from MSN back to Google desktop search. It was released
recently and has some major improvements, including the ability to search
the FireFox history and Thunderbird mail, no indexing of password protected
documents, indexing of secure web pages as well as PDF, music and video
files.

One good approach it has taken is to have a plug-in architecture. There is a
plug-in SDK and some available plugins already that will scan any text file.
This could be a great feature for developers searching for sourcecode if you
point it to .php .asp .vb .cs etc. files.
