We worked closely with the management of Access and Time Control limited to achieve their requirements and goals for their web presence. We provided a complete solution from graphic design and page navigation layout, to hosting and domain name registration allowing Access and Time to get on with their day to day operations.

Some of the functionality included contact email forms and slide down heirarchical menus. These menus allow for immediate access to specific product information which could be contained in a number of levels deep into the site. Because of limited inhouse IT knowledge the site was developed with ease of content editing and maintenance in mind. All menus and navigation options are derived from XML files which can be easily amended to include new products or modify existing ones.

On a technical level because standards compliance and accessibility was emphasised the opensource skmMenu system was modified to allow strict XHTML output. A control was developed that makes the non-standard ASP.Net auto-generated code for forms into compliant XHTML on-the-fly. The use of positional style sheets (CSS) allows for better accessibility, smaller page sizes (and hence quicker downloads) and flexibility in the maintenance of page layouts.
